| Personal History | The youngest child of an academic family, Simin's youth wasn't so much a rebellious one, but one that rejected the lifepath set out by her parents (particularly her mother) which would culminate with Simin becoming ensconced in the faculty of the University of Alpha Centauri, as had been the custom of the Adhmadi family since the founding of the University. Simin was a good natured child, and a decent student, but not a particularly dedicated one. Despite this (or perhaps because of this), she was her father's favorite, which for some reason caused even more animosity between Simin and her mother, who thought her youngest child was wasting her potential on sports and other trivialities. The final straw was broken when, in her sophomore year at the University of Alpha Centauri, her mother called Simin a "plodder," due to her barely past mediocre academic record. Simin responded by dropping out of University and, on a whim, enlisting in Starfleet. Ironically, enlisting in Starfleet would provide Simin the academic self-discipline she lacked as a civilian. Like many of her enlisted colleagues, she had earned a bachelor degree by the time she made Petty Officer Second Class, and had earned her Master's degree by the time she had reached Senior Chief. Although Simin still enjoys a close relationship with her father, she and her mother's relationship is strained at best, made worse by Simin's career and academic success in Starfleet. |

| Service Record | Simin has enjoyed a varied career, from medical technician to corpsman on a hospital ship, as well a combat medic attached to Starfleet Marine Corps units, as well as 'Fleet special force groups. Prior to her assignment to STAT-42, she served as an instructor at Starfleet Academy, teaching classes on First Aid and Emergency Medicine, and the use and simple maintenance of medical equipment. In addition, she often acted as an "unofficial counselor" to cadets.
